I was driving home last night from a friends house warming party when I noticed a faint glow on the northern horizon.

I said to the wife I wouldnt be surprised it this thing takes of between now and the time we are home (it was about 1215am). Not even 5 minutes later we had to stop on the side of the road and witnessed curtains and pillars moving around the night sky. We watched it for a bit since the wife hasnt seen them before.

When I got home, I grabbed my gear and went out.

At first they had calmed back down again. A distinct arc was now in the north. Bright but not active. Then around 1 activity picked up again. Pretty show. Lots of pillars and some bright curtains.
