I happened to be at an art festival in northern Minnesota, USA during the weekend of this magnificent aurora display. This was, by far, the most stunning display of auroras that I had ever witnessed, and I was fortunate to be able to view and photograph these in near-wilderness, well away from city lights. The light from the auroras seemed to be about as bright as the light cast by a full moon!
