- The PerseidMeteor Shower peaked up to 122 meteors per hour! (ZHR)
- The conjunction of the Planet Mars & Saturn and a star Spica nicknamed the Martian Triangle.
- The Occultation of the Planet Venus and Jupiter by the Moon.
- The death of the Neil Armstrong, the first man to walk on the moon. Have you even realize, the Blue moon happens once every few years and happened on the funeral of Mr. Armstrong?
